Mr. Silverman heads up the firm's comprehensive estate planning practice, including core estate planning and advanced planning (e.g. employing robust legacy, gifting and estate/gift tax mitigation strategies). Having practiced law for over 30 years, he draws on invaluable practical experience in the fields of real estate and business. Prior to practicing law, he was President and Chief Operating Officer for a New England franchisor; directed a West Coast computerized loan origination operation for a mortgage banking/brokerage company; and conducted real estate brokerage and property management services for various companies, including his own. Before opening his own law office, he was a partner at the law firm of Silverman & Silverman (the other partner was his father, Donald Silverman, retired) in Alameda; and was “Of Counsel” to several local law firms.

Mr. Silverman has the following educational degrees: B.A. in Psychology from the University of California at Davis; and a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. His professional affiliations include membership in the Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley (Past President) and Contra Costa County Bar Association. Mr. Silverman has been a licensed real estate broker since 1981. He has also volunteered as a professional advisory board member of several charitable organizations. He’s most delighted with, and proud of, his marriage of more than 36 years and his three wonderful children and grandson.
